CLASS FULL – Learn how to can tomatoes

We're sorry, but all tickets sales have ended because the event is expired.

There are no upcoming dates for this event.

Join us for our second annual tomato canning workshop. This was a full event last year, so sign up now to reserve your spot!

Canning can be a wonderful way to extend the season and support local farms – especially when they have an over-abundance – and there’s nothing like a perfectly ripe farm-fresh tomato from summer.

Gather at the home of Piper Davis where she will teach us how to can the last of the season’s tomatoes. We’ll peel, pack and process the tomatoes, then each participant will go home with 3 quarts along with instructions so you can preserve more of summer’s bounty in your home kitchen.

Enjoy a glass of wine and snacks while the tomatoes are processing!

PNWCSA’s vision is a community where everyone eats local food, farmers thrive, and CSA is a household name. We connect farmers with their local community, educate the public about CSA, and provide farmers with opportunities to learn, grow, and meet their business and sustainability goals. We believe access to quality food is a right, not a privilege, and we enable farmers to accept payment for their shares with SNAP. We also provide Double Up Food Bucks incentives, to put even more food in the homes of hungry Oregonians.

  1. Is the canning class full on the 9th? Would love to attend if there is still space.
